Rhett did so and ended up giving Dr. Dre his card after finding him what he needed; soon after this encounter, Dr. Dre hired Rhett as his personal security guard!

When Rhett became friends with Dr. Dre, his career really took off, but he had to go through some of the typical ups and downs that come with success — including being shot at during a jewelry store robbery while working as a security guard (ironically).
Rhett is no stranger to being targeted by criminals, but he was shocked when it happened while he was working as a security guard. He says:
“I couldn’t believe it. I was like ‘This is not happening.’ I had just gotten out of the hospital after having surgery on my hand and they shot me in the chest with an AK-47.”
