Oneman, also known as Steve (born Stephen Godfroy) is an English DJ and radio presenter. He is best-known for his one-hour live radio show broadcast on the UK’s Rinse FM every Saturday night.
Born in London, Oneman had a long career in music before becoming a DJ. At 14 he began producing hip hop and breakbeat tracks under the name “Steve One”. After expanding into hosting events at clubs, he held residencies at Fabric, XOYO and Notting Hill Arts Club. In 2011, Oneman officially joined Rinse FM where he has been broadcasting ever since.
Oneman’s sets are known for their energetic fusion of grime, garage, bass, hip-hop and house, making them a favourite among London clubgoers. He’s also renowned for the way he weaves tracks together with effortless skill, creating seamless mixes that flow from one song to the next.
He has released three albums on Fabriclive Records, as well as numerous EPs and singles. The most recent came in 2018 when he collaborated with rap group Mambu Badjora on the EP “SMG”. Oneman has also held several international residencies including Closure at The Farmhouse in Ibiza and Sicko Cell at VOLAR Clubs in Hong Kong.
Oneman’s solo work outside of his Rinse FM show has seen him collaborate with a number of other projects, including the Red Bull Music Academy and BBC Radio 1Xtra. He’s also been invited to play at some of the world’s most renowned dance music events, from Glastonbury to Hospitality in the Park.
